Mrs. Carol D. Morris serves as the Co-founder and director of PeeWee’s Learning Center and Bryant Morris Academy. She is the eldest child of Gloria and Joe Bryant, Sr., and proudly hails from Bellwood, IL. Mrs. Morris embarked on her professional journey in the military, and after marrying her wonderful husband, Jason, and starting a family, she decided to leave active duty after 4.5 years of service. Her focus shifted to raising her children and supporting her husband as he continued on active duty.
Driven by the desire for her four children to have playmates and a solid early educational foundation, Carol entered the childcare industry. She became a family childcare provider for the military in 1995, dedicating over 10 years to the field. Later, she transitioned to the hospitality industry, and took a position at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, as a dining facility manager for the military.
In 2012, following a move to Washington State and the birth of her first grandchild, Carol seized the opportunity to return to the early learning field. She left her government employment and established her home-based early learning educational business.
Active in her community, Carol is part of her local church leadership team, a lead activist with the 925 union, and contributes to various early learning boards and committees. Her commitment to addressing the needs of early learners in Washington State has earned her recognition, including military civilian awards such as the Keeper of the Flame award and the Commander Award for Public Service. She is also a Champions for Children award-winning early learning educator and the co-author of two children’s books.
She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Dual Language from Goddard College. Despite her numerous accomplishments, she is renowned as a dynamic early learning educator and passionate provider, going above and beyond to support families in her early learning environment and the broader community. Above all, she cherishes spending time with her husband of over 30 years, Jason, and her entire family and friends.
Mr. Jason Morris, the co-founder of Bryant Morris Academy and PeeWee’s Learning Center, hails from New York and grew up in the Bronx. After an honorable military service spanning over 25 years, Jason retired in 2015. Unable to stay still in retirement, he joined Pierce Transit in 2015 and served as a training supervisor for over 8 years.
In 2023, Jason decided to resign from Pierce Transit to work full-time alongside his wife, Carol, in the early learning business they founded. An active leader in the community, Jason is a member of the AFRAM organization, advocating for the rights of the disenfranchised. He also plays a vital role on his church board, offering training and classes to both congregation members and the broader community. Together with his wife, Jason has co-authored two children’s books.
Currently serving as the maintenance supervisor for BMA, Jason also manages Jay’s Logistics, a business he founded. Jay’s Logistics provides transportation services including pick-up, drop-off, and field trips, for childcare facilities, schools, churches, and recreational centers. Jason is also a Red Cross-certified trainer, offering first aid, CPR, and BBP training and certification to those in need. Jason brings his wealth of experience and expertise to the forefront of his roles in both education and logistics. He is recognized as a visionary leader, strategic planner, and organizer.
